East Jakarta KPKP Inspects Qurban Animals Health in 6 Locations

East Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department inspects qurban animals health in 6 locations around Duren Sawit and Jatinegara on Thursday (8/1).

So far, there is no sick animal and no one affected by anthrax

East Jakarta KPKP Sub-department's Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Section Head, Irma Budiany deploys 12 personnel from Jakarta KPKP Department's Animal Health Laboratory and East Jakarta KPKP Sub-department.

Early August, KPKP Starts to Monitor Sacrificial Animals Health

"Our personnel visit qurban animal shelters on Jalan Jatibening, Pondok Kelapa and Jalan Al Khoir, Duren Sawit to check its health," she stated.

In this inspection, her side checks animal's nose, teeth, mouth, genitals, skin, and others to ensure its health and animal's health certificate from its origin place.

"So far, there is no sick animal and no one affected by anthrax," she stated, Thursday (8/1).

Her side will put Healthy Animals stickers to qurban animal shelters that have been passed the animal health inspection.

"We will continue to hold similar animal health inspection until H-1 of Eid al-Adha," she added.

One of the qurban animal sellers, Andin (46) appreciates KPKP Sub-department's work in checking qurban animals health.

"This health inspection makes our customers become more convinced and secured that we only sell healthy qurban animals. Besides, it could also increase our sell," he conveyed.

He sells 79 qurban animals that he got from Magetan, East Java, with age between 2-4 years old. Those animals own health certificates from its origin farm.

"Its price varies between Rp 20-40 million," he informed.
